Sunday Morning Worship

Worship at Bethel Mennonite Church is open to every person regardless of who you are, or where you are in your life or faith journey. Through worship we collectively seek to honour and praise God while supporting and loving each other. Worship takes on many forms including scripture reading, prayers, music, children’s story, and a sermon. Worshiping with others gives us strength and helps us grow in our understanding of what it means to live a Christ like life. We look forward to welcoming you to our in-person worship. If you are unable to join us in-person please access our livestream or listen later in the week when your schedule allows. All are welcome to join us for worship and to make Bethel Mennonite Church your spiritual home.

Worship Service is every Sunday at 10:00 AM

  • Worship Guides

Many people are involved in guiding each worship service and the most obvious are those you see participating. However, there are many that serve behind the scenes ensuring the church is ready visually and the livestream runs seamlessly. Each person plays a significant part in creating a meaningful worship experience.

  • Acknowledgements

Recognizing that we are all treaty people, with gratitude Bethel acknowledges that the church where we gather is located on the original lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene peoples and the traditional homeland of the Métis Nation. Our water is sourced from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation.

  • Choirs

Like many Mennonite churches, Bethel has a love of choral singing. We love making music together. The Bethel Singers joins soprano, alto, tenor, and bass voices. This choir rehearses one evening each week, and usually sings once a month from September to May.

  • What we believe

Bethel Mennonite Church confesses that God is active in the world. We want to align our worship, education, community life and witness with what God is already doing in the world.

  • Audio and Video

Bethel has a few technicians who help to capture the sound and imagery of our services. These technicians get a chance to be a part of making worship heard, seen, and ultimately felt.

  • Faith Formation

There are a variety of options available for faith formation directly after the Sunday service including Adult Education and Kids Connecting. Check out some other options for faith formation throughout the week.

Artist in Residence Program

Bethel Mennonite Church strongly supports the continued development and strengthening of the arts in our community. Therefore the Worship Committee operates an Artist-in-Residence program at Bethel. Bethel’s Vision Statement is as follows: Loving God, each other and our neighbours. We welcome creative expressions of this vision, recognizing that our creative impulses come from God, our creator. In different years alternative artistic genres will be explored.

Each annual term for the position runs from September to June.

Copyrights for all artistic creations are retained by the artists.
