Choirs

Like many Mennonite churches, Bethel has a love of choral singing. We love making music together.

Along with our congregational singing, Bethel also gets to enjoy the beautiful addition of choirs to our worship experience. Bethel Singers and Men of Song both offer great opportunities to sing together and build meaningful relationships.

Latest Updates

Bethel Singers

Wednesday, Sept. 15/21: Bethel Singers rehearsals will resume, at 7:15 pm. Everyone is welcome to join if you are fully vaccinated. Please contact the church office for further details.

The Bethel Singers joins soprano, alto, tenor, and bass voices. This choir rehearses one evening each week, and usually sings once a month from September to May.

Men of Song

Bethel’s Men of Song began in 2005 under the leadership of Shirley Bestvater. During Shirley’s tenure (until the end of 2016), this choir participated about once a month in Bethel’s worship service. We also took our music to a number of senior’s residences and held an annual fundraising concert for various worthy causes.

After Shirley’s retirement, Ed Hildebrand took over the choir and has inspired us to continue our music making tradition.

We are mostly men from Bethel but also welcome others who desire to be part of a male choir.

After a long COVID 19 pause, our Thursday rehearsals have resumed, but they are not yet as regular as in the past. If you would like to join us, please contact Ed to find out when our next rehearsals will be.
