October 18 Worship Focus

October 18 Worship Focus

·         Theme: Covenant Renewed

·         Scripture: Joshua 24:14-26

·         Speaker: Kevin Derksen

This fall we have embarked on another journey through the biblical story from beginning to end, following the Narrative Lectionary. This week we listen in on the last message of Joshua to the people of Israel, encouraging them to re-commit their lives in the service of the Lord.  For the people, this is about remembering what God has done for them in the past and remaining faithful amidst the diversity of religious expression around them.  What does it look like to balance this kind of commitment with openness and hospitality to the traditions of our neighbours?

October 25 Worship Focus
