October 11 Worship Focus

October 11 Worship Focus

·         Theme: Covenant and Commandments

·         Scripture: Exodus 19:3-7, 20:1-17

·         Speaker: Kathy McCamis

This fall we have embarked on another journey through the biblical story from beginning to end, following the Narrative Lectionary. This week we encounter the people of God as they arrive at Mount Sinai following their dramatic escape out of Egypt. Here God renews the covenant that God earlier established with Noah and then with Abraham, and offers guidelines for living as God’s own people in the land. So, this Thanksgiving may we also remember all that God has done for us and consider how our lives reflect the grace we have received.
