This Sunday, we continue our year-long series working through the biblical story from beginning to end, following the Narrative Lectionary. After starting last week with the creation account in Genesis 1, we jump now into the covenant saga that begins with God’s call to Abram and Sarai. In particular, we’ll focus on the episode in which their promised son Isaac is nearly sacrificed as a test of faithfulness. A difficult story to grapple with as we explore this narrative.
