In this season after Easter, we move from hearing stories about the ministry of the Apostle Paul to learning about the early church through his letter to the Philippians. In the second chapter of this letter, Paul appeals to the Philippian believers to “be of the same mind” in imitation of Christ. A call to undo the social divisions that come with striving for status and power. What does it mean to follow Jesus on the path of downward mobility that leads him both to the cross and to resurrection?
