Through these winter Sundays, the Narrative Lectionary takes us into a journey through the Gospel of John. As Jesus invited his first disciples to “Come and see,” we are also invited to encounter the One who came as ‘the Word became flesh,’ the life of heaven come down to earth. In this week’s reading we enter the striking story of Jesus’ disruption of commerce in the temple, which John tells near the beginning of the gospel.
