Harrow School Reading Program

Another partnership we have with Harrow School is our Wednesday afternoon reading program, which runs in three 8-week sessions throughout the school year. Volunteers are matched with student buddies from Harrow School, who walk over to the church on Wednesday afternoons. Each volunteer listens to his or her buddy read aloud for about twenty minutes, providing encouragement and support to the child. It’s a wonderful way to invest in the life of a child in our neighbourhood. Volunteers must complete a screening process including police and child abuse registry checks.
