May 5 — “Loving Our Hindu Neighbours”
Our presenters will describe, in broad strokes, what it means to be Hindu. Pundit Jigar Goswami will share the basic tenets of Hinduism, and Ganga and Manju will represent some of the variations that exist within the way of life that is Hindu, drawing on their own backgrounds and experiences.
May 12 – “Loving Our Sikh Neighbours”
Guest presenter Dr. Mohinder Singh Nijjar will briefly describe the history of the Sikh religion, principals of Sikhism, their Holy Granth Sahib containing verses of saints belonging to other religions, symbols identifying a follower of Sikhism, and the current status of Sikhism in the world.
