May 4 Worship Focus –

·         Service Theme: Celebration of Baptism and Membership

·         Scripture: Mark 1:1-11, 1 Corinthians 12:12-31

This Sunday we look forward to a service of celebration as we welcome nine people into membership at Bethel Mennonite Church – one by baptism, and eight others by transfer or confession of faith. As we rejoice with those whose faith journey has now brought them to this place, we are prompted to reflect on our own stories and commitments of faith as well.

Adult Education

On May 4, no Adult Ed session, as we take time to greet each other following a service of Baptism and Membership.

On May 11, we look forward to a presentation of Mennonite Church Canada’s work around the world, shared by Executive Minister Doug Klassen.

On May 18, we will screen a recording of the keynote address offered by John D. Roth to the Annual Gathering of Mennonite Church Manitoba on March 1, 2025. John offers a very timely narration of the 500th Anniversary of Anabaptism in the context of our current social and political upheaval.

Kids Connecting and Youth Connecting

Kids Connecting will meet again on Sunday, May 11, at 11:15 am in the basement. The last Kids Connecting for this school year will take place on May 25.

Youth Connecting will meet again on Sunday, May 11, at 11:15 am in the basement. This will be the last gathering of Youth Connecting until the fall.
