January 19 Worship Focus

·         Theme: Anabaptism at 500: a 21st Century Story

·         Scripture: John 15:1-10

This month marks 500 years since the first baptisms in Zurich, Switzerland that have come to symbolize the beginning of the Anabaptist faith tradition. This significant anniversary reminds us of events in the 16th century, but it also invites us to ask what it might mean to be a Mennonite community in 2025. How will we continue living out the stories of faith we have received – here at Bethel and around the world?

January 26 Worship Focus

·         Theme: Anabaptism at 500: A Global Mennonite Story

·         Scripture: Genesis 50:15-21, Luke 7:36-50

·         Speaker: Gerald Hildebrand (Mennonite World Conference)

·         The service will include a celebration of communion.

·         There will be a Potluck Lunch after the worship service at 11:15 am in the Dining Hall. Please bring cold food to share.
