November 24 Worship Focus

On Eternity Sunday, which is the final Sunday of the liturgical year before we enter the season of Advent, we remember our loved ones who have died over the past twelve months. We will light candles in memory of the people in our Bethel family who died in the past year, as we give thanks for their witness of love and faith in our midst.

On December 1, the first Sunday of Advent, MaryLou Driedger will lead the inaugural “Delighting in Scripture” session: Getting to Know Elizabeth. Elizabeth is mentioned in only one chapter of the Bible, yet she plays an important role in the gospel story. MaryLou will help us get to know Elizabeth better as we look at how notable works of art in the past and present have portrayed Elizabeth. How might each of us connect personally with Elizabeth’s story?
