February 1 Worship Focus

Through these winter Sundays, the Narrative Lectionary takes us into a journey through the Gospel of John. As Jesus invited his first disciples to “Come and see,” we are also invited to encounter the One who came as ‘the Word became flesh,’ the life of heaven come down to earth. Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman in John 4 is a story of peacemaking and reconciliation, a reminder that the living water that Christ offers is to be a gift for all people.
