January 26 Worship Focus

·         Theme: Anabaptism at 500: A Global Mennonite Story

·         Scripture: Genesis 50:15-21, Luke 7:36-50

·         Speaker: Gerald Hildebrand (Mennonite World Conference)

After looking backwards and forwards, we will now look around us as we recognize the global Mennonite family that is commemorating 500 years of Anabaptism. Gerald Hildebrand, the North American regional representative for Mennonite World Conference, will be sharing a message with the theme, “The Courage to Love.” We will acknowledge this Anabaptist World Fellowship Sunday with music from around the world and a celebration of communion, followed by a potluck meal. All are welcome! Please bring a dish of cold food to share.

·         During the potluck, there will be opportunity to contribute to the life and work of Mennonite World Conference through an offering on your way into the Dining Hall. Cash or cheques are welcome, made out to Bethel Mennonite Church and designated to “MWC.”
