Meals on Wheels – Urgent Call for Volunteers

Meals on Wheels Winnipeg volunteers deliver warm smiles and 300-400 meals per day to seniors, people with physical and mental health disabilities, and other vulnerable individuals who are unable to access food on their own. We deliver 365 days a year between the hours of 10:30am and 1pm and currently have an urgent need for volunteers to deliver in the Downtown and Core areas. Volunteers receive an in-person info session, a ride along with a staff member for their first route, ongoing support and check-ins, and a $7.00 honorarium for every route they deliver to help with the cost of gas. We aim to make things easy and flexible for our volunteers from our application process, signing up for a route, and providing the info and support you need to deliver our meals.  See poster here.
