Community Services - Winnipeg Harvest
Winnipeg Harvest is a non-profit, community-based organization that collects and shares surplus food with people who are hungry. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate the need for food banks in our community.
Since October 1993, Bethel Mennonite Church has been a distribution depot for Winnipeg Harvest. Our first night we served five families, and we now serve around 65 families per night.
Every second Monday (Tuesdays when the Monday is a holiday), church volunteers receive food from Winnipeg Harvest, set it out, and serve it to those in need.
Our doors open at 4:30 pm for coffee and a snack; the food distribution begins at 5 pm. We close around 5:45 pm. If you would like to receive food please call Winnipeg Harvest directly at 204-982-3660 to make an appointment.

With gratitude we acknowledge our gathering on Treaty No.1 land and that we are all treaty people.
Imitating the inclusive welcome of Jesus, we seek to be a community marked by the love of God.
Regardless of age, race, or sexual orientation, we invite you to make Bethel your spiritual home.
Sharing the peace of Christ, together we strive to reveal the realm of God in the world.
